My Trips This Week

This week I spent 73.35 on grocery & household items. Here’s what I got:

Meijer & Kmart

I shopped through Tuesday, which is St. Patrick’s Day (I don’t normally buy beer, but I am making a yummy beer bread!).
My total @ Meijer was $60.15 & my total @ Kmart was $8.50.

CVS

Cost: $4.50 & I received $7.00 ECB. I had only planned on this trip costing .50¢, but I accidentally grabbed the $2.99 Colgate toothbrushes instead of the $1.99 ones, and I got 2 items I didn’t plan on purchasing; the Oral-B toothbrushes were on clearance for .99 & the bouillon cubes were $1.00. Still, a good shopping trip!

Walgreens

I am very happy about my Walgreens trips and disappointed as well.

I went to 2 different Walgreens. The first was one had no Garnier or Glade left. I only got 2 packs of diapers and 1 pack of wipes because they were very busy and had only one cashier, so I didn’t want to make everyone wait for my multiple transactions. That worked fine, I used my coupons (2 of the 5.00, 1 of the 3.00 printables), and paid for the rest with the money on my giftcard from last month’s rebates to = $0 out of pocket, and I received the $10.00 register rewards. The next day at the second store, they would only let me buy 2 Garnier, but they had the Glade so I was happy about that. I did 2 transactions with the diaper deal so I could get the register rewards twice. For the first one I used the $10.00 register rewards from the day before and my gift card to = $0 out of pocket, but no register rewards printed! I asked the cashier why, and she said you don’t get the rewards if you use coupons. I didn’t get them for the second transaction either. So, I was happy that I got 5 packages of diapers, three packs of wipes, 2 Glade Sense & Spray, and 2 Garnier shampoo & conditioner for free, but I am disappointed I didn’t get the $20 register rewards:(

Just a side note: I don’t have children in diapers, my girls are 11 & 14, but I am giving these to my husband’s nephew who has baby; it was too good of a deal to pass up! I encourage you to do the same, purchase the good deals you find and give them to someone in need! Even if you don’t know anyone personally who might be in need, donate it! There are tons of organizations who need and would be very grateful for your donations!

  5. You can not use a register reward to pay for the same deal and get the register reward again. If the register rewards is from a different company, then it is okay.

  7. I agree with you! :) My girls are 10 and 13 but my little sister has a 5 month old so I did the diaper deal twice for her.

  8. The RR's didn't print out because you paid with an RR from the same transaction, not because you used coupons. If you wanted more RR's you need to pay with other RR promotions, gift card, or OOP. I learned the hard way, too. :-)

    Good deals BTW!
